Email and notifications
Choose what Sitavo tells you about — in the bell, as push and by email — for messages, offers, auctions, deals, NDAs and search alerts.
3 min readUpdated
The bell at the top of the page shows new notifications, updated in real time. Under Settings → Notifications you choose for each type whether you want to hear about it on Sitavo, by email, both or not at all. «On Sitavo» means the bell — and push on the devices where you have turned push on. All notifications are collected under Notifications, where you can search, filter and mark them as read.

Auctions and bidding rounds
- As a bidder you are notified when you are outbid, and you get a reminder before the auction ends. If you are outbid while you are on the page, you can bid again straight from the notice.
- As a seller you are notified about new bids. In an auction, many bids are bundled into one email at most every half hour, and you get no email while you are online on Sitavo.
- The outcome — won, sold, reserve not met or auction stopped — is always sent, because it matters for the deal.
See more about auctions in Bidding round and auction.
Fewer emails
- Emails about new messages are only sent when you are not online — if you are on Sitavo, you see the message already.
- Choose Only send me essential emails to turn off all optional emails and the newsletter at once.
- Search alerts have their own settings for how often you are notified. See search alerts.
- At the bottom of optional emails you can unsubscribe or change what you receive.
Messages you always get
Some messages are always sent because you need to know about them: receipts and invoices, security messages (such as a changed password, email or 2FA), Sitavo’s decisions about your listings and cases, and deadlines, payment or cancellation in a deal. This makes sure you do not miss a deadline that could cause a deal to be cancelled. See the deal process.
Push on phone and computer
- Open Settings → Notifications on the device where you want push.
- Turn on push, and allow notifications when the browser asks.
- You now get push for everything you have set to «On Sitavo» — even when the site is not open.
Push is turned on per device. If you said no in the browser, you need to allow notifications for sitavo.dk in the browser settings before it works.
Are you an adviser?
Advisers have an extra section for the Adviser portal: messages and NDAs at clients, new requests, replies to access requests, the client’s response to proposed offers, new offers on clients’ listings, deal deadlines and team. You always get the notifications on Sitavo; emails can be turned on and off per type. See Advisers on Sitavo.
Not receiving emails?
- Check your spam and promotions folders, and mark emails from Sitavo as «not spam».
- Check that the email address under Account and login is correct and confirmed.
- Check that the type is not turned off and that «Only send me essential emails» is not selected.
- If nothing helps, create a case under Help and cases with «My account» → «I don’t receive emails from Sitavo».
Emails from Sitavo never ask for your password, a 2FA code or for payment to a new account. If you receive such an email, log in directly at sitavo.dk instead of clicking, and create a case.
