What does it cost to sell a business? With a traditional business broker, the seller usually pays a fee or a percentage of the sale price. On Sitavo it is free to put a business up for sale and to buy one: no commission, no success fee and no subscription for buyers and sellers. Sitavo earns money from optional one-off purchases — such as a listing package if you want more buyers faster, or a deal package with agreement documents once an offer has been accepted. Here is the full price overview.

Costs outside Sitavo
Sitavo is not a party to the deal and takes no payment for the business itself — the purchase price goes directly from buyer to seller. There may, however, be costs for advisers and others that you choose and agree a price with yourselves:
- A lawyer to review or draft the purchase agreement, especially when selling shares, leases and staff.
- An accountant for accounts, tax and VAT on the sale. See Tax when selling a business and the seller guide chapter on asset or share sale.
- A broker or adviser if you want a professional to run the sale. Find one under Find a Sitavo adviser — you agree the fee with the adviser, and Sitavo takes no share.
- Escrow with a lawyer or an escrow service if you agree on it, and any bank charges for the transfer.
- Tax on the gain from the sale, which depends on whether you sell assets or shares.
Withdrawal and refunds
If you buy as a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Featuring or a listing package that has started is refunded for the unused part. One-off deliveries such as a price estimate and a DD checklist cannot be withdrawn once delivered. Business customers with a CVR number have no right of withdrawal. You withdraw under My purchases. See Payments, invoices and subscriptions.
If we change prices or terms, we give notice in advance under the terms of trade, and the change does not apply to purchases already completed.
