Sitavo is new – market data comes with the first deals

Here we gather prices, deals and trends from Sitavo once there is enough data for the figures to mean something. Reports are only published when they are based on real deals. Until then, you can calculate your business’s value from the typical industry multiples.

    • Typical industry multiples
    • Prices and trends once there are enough listings
    • Reports once the deals are there

Source: CVR (latest annual report per company) via DanskCVRAPI, updated 27 Oct 2026. The figures are approximate. How the figures are calculated: we count how many active companies in the industry fall below a series of fixed thresholds in their latest annual report (e.g. DKK 0, 100,000, 250,000, 500,000, 1m and up) and read off the quarters by interpolating between the thresholds. Gross profit cannot be measured this way yet, and profit margin is left out because the ratio of two typical figures is not a typical margin.

    Method and data

The numbers are based on listings and completed deals on Sitavo. Prices are the public asking price set by the seller, and a figure is only shown if it is based on at least 5 deals.

    Frequently asked questions

    • From Sitavo itself: active listings and the deals completed in the deal room. Prices are the public asking price set by the seller, not the agreed price, which is confidential between the parties.

    • No. The numbers cover both digital businesses such as online shops, SaaS and websites and physical businesses such as shops, restaurants and trades.

    • Yes. Listings from across the country are included. Digital businesses without a fixed address are counted separately and are not on the regional map.

    • The price trend shows the last 12 months. Quarterly and annual reports stay in the archive, so you can compare periods.

    • Listing numbers are updated continuously. Reports on completed deals are published quarterly and annually once there are at least 5 deals.

    • As a seller, you can see what similar businesses are listed for and set a realistic price. As a buyer, you can judge whether a price is fair. For an estimate of your own business, get a free valuation.

    How we calculate the figures

Method markedsdata-1.0.0. The report is generated from Sitavo's own data and is not changed after publication unless it is republished.

    Data source
Deals completed in Sitavo's deal room: buyer and seller have completed every step and the deal has not been cancelled. Sales that sellers marked as sold outside Sitavo are not included in prices and multiples.
    What counts as a deal
Only sales of whole businesses and projects (not partial sales, leaseholds or investor searches) that may still be shown publicly. A deal is counted in the quarter in which it was completed.
    What is left out
Discreet listings and listings that only tested the market are left out entirely. Listings with a hidden price or confidential figures (shown only after an NDA or to verified buyers) count towards the number of deals only — not prices and multiples.
    Price
The seller's public asking price in the listing — not the agreed sale price, which is confidential between the parties. The median and middle half (25th–75th percentile) are rounded to the nearest DKK 1,000.
    Multiples
Asking price divided by the seller's stated annual revenue, annual profit and ARR (annual recurring revenue, or MRR × 12). Only exact, public figures are used; figures shown as ranges are left out. We show the median to one decimal place.
    Time to sale
Days from when the listing was published until the deal was completed. We show the median and the average.
    Supply
New open listings for whole businesses published in the period — a picture of supply alongside the number sold.
    Anonymity
A figure is only shown if it is based on at least 5 deals. Otherwise it reads “Too few deals”, so no single deal can be worked out.
    Period
Quarters and years follow the Danish calendar. A report is generated once the period has ended and published when there are at least 5 deals in total.

    Listing numbers are updated continuously.

    How the figures are calculated

Market data is based solely on listings and deals on Sitavo — not on purchased data or estimates. The page has two kinds of figures: a snapshot of what is on offer right now, and period figures for completed deals. Here is how they are calculated, and why some fields are empty.

    Guides on the topic

Step-by-step knowledge that helps you make the right decision.

What is on offer right nowActive and new listings: public listings that are active today, and those published in the last 30 days.Guide
    • Active and new listings: public listings that are active today, and those published in the last 30 days. Drafts and private listings are not counted.
    • Asking price: the average asking price of listings with a public price. Listings with a hidden or confidential price are not included.
    • Categories and regions: how active listings are distributed. Regions are based on listings with a fixed address; digital businesses without an address are counted separately.
Completed dealsDeals: deals for whole businesses completed through Sitavo’s deal process in the period (quarter or year).Guide
    • Deals: deals for whole businesses completed through Sitavo’s deal process in the period (quarter or year).
    • Median asking price and range: the middle asking price among the businesses sold, and the range from 25 to 75 %. The median is used rather than the average so that a few large deals do not skew the figure. The agreed price is confidential between the parties and is never included.
    • Multiples: the asking price divided by the seller’s public annual figures (revenue, profit or ARR). The figures are the seller’s own and not normalised, so they are a guide, not a valuation.
    • Time to sale: the time from the listing was published until the deal was completed, reported as a median.
Why are some figures empty?A figure is only shown once it is based on at least five deals or listings.Finance

A figure is only shown once it is based on at least five deals or listings. With fewer, the field stays empty — not even the count is shown — so no single deal or business can be identified. Small sectors and regions therefore only get figures once the market has grown. Period figures are collected in a report once the quarter or year has ended, and published only after Sitavo has reviewed them. A published report does not change afterwards.

How to use the figuresUse market data as a guide to what is on offer and how quickly it sells in your sector.Finance

Use market data as a guide to what is on offer and how quickly it sells in your sector. The price of your own business depends on your profit, your risk and your growth, so combine the figures with a valuation based on your own key figures.
