Download your data or delete your account

Download a copy of your data (GDPR), manage your privacy, and see what happens to listings, offers, deals and invoices when you delete your account.

You are in control of your data on Sitavo. You can download a copy of everything we have stored about you, decide what others can see, and delete the account when you no longer need it. Here is how — and what happens to listings, messages and deals when an account is deleted.

Download your data

Under Settings → Privacy, choose Request data export next to «Your data». You get a JSON file with what Sitavo has stored about you: account and profile, listings, messages, offers and deal timelines, payments and invoices, profiles, verification and logs. Secrets such as your password and 2FA keys are never included. The export meets your rights of access and data portability under the GDPR.

JSON is a machine-readable format. If you just want your invoices, it is easier to download them as PDFs under Payments and invoices.

Privacy settings

  • Profile visible in searches: if you turn it off, we ask search engines not to show your seller profile.
  • Show online status: if you turn it off, others cannot see whether you are online or when you were last active.
  • Anonymous usage statistics and personalised recommendations can be turned on and off.
  • Cookies: you can reset your cookie choices so the banner asks again. See the cookie policy.

Sold? Anonymise the sale instead

If you simply want to avoid a completed sale being linked to you, you do not need to delete the account. Choose Anonymise the sale in My listings or under Sales history. The sold listing moves to a neutral address that only shows industry, region and month of sale — no figures and no name. The choice cannot be undone. The sale price is never public after a sale; only the seller and the buyer can see it.

Before you delete the account

  • Complete or cancel ongoing deals — the account cannot be deleted while a deal is in progress.
  • Download your data and invoices if you will need them later, for example for your accounts.
  • Consider pausing your listings instead if you are just taking a break from selling. See manage listings.
  • If you have an adviser subscription or a role in an advisory firm, talk to the firm’s owner or administrator before you delete the account.

How to delete the account

  1. Go to Account and login and choose Delete my account.
  2. See what will be deleted and choose Continue.
  3. Type «SLET», your password and, if relevant, the code from your authenticator app to confirm.

What happens?

  • Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. You are logged out everywhere and receive a confirmation by email.
  • Your listings are removed from the marketplace, and your open offers are withdrawn.
  • Your personal data is removed: name, email, phone, address, CVR number, bio, picture and 2FA. Your seller profile, search alerts, saved listings and buyer briefs are removed too.
  • Messages and deals are kept for the other party, but you appear as «Deleted user».
  • If you have a paid adviser subscription (Adviser Plus), it stops immediately — your card is not charged again. Saved cards are deleted.
  • Invoices are kept for 5 years because Danish bookkeeping law requires it.

Your rights under the GDPR

  • Access and portability: you can get a copy of your data — that is the data export above.
  • Rectification: you correct most information yourself under Settings. If something is wrong that you cannot fix yourself, create a case.
  • Erasure: you can delete the account yourself. Some information we must keep longer, such as invoices under bookkeeping law.
  • Objection and withdrawal of consent: you can turn off recommendations, statistics and the newsletter, and withdraw consents, such as the consent to verification.
  • Complaints: if you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

Accounts that are not used

If you have not logged in or used Sitavo for 3 years, you get an email saying the account will be deleted 60 days later, and a reminder 14 days before. If you log in, you keep the account. An account whose email was never confirmed and which has not been used for 30 days is deleted automatically.

Read more about how we process your information in our privacy policy. If you have questions about your data, create a case under Help and cases with «My account» → «My data or deleting my account».
