Manage your listing: pause, extend, mark as sold and anonymise
Keep your listing up to date: edit, pause, extend, feature, mark as sold, anonymise the sale or delete — and what happens to open offers.

Once your business is up for sale, you manage the listing from My listings. Here you see all your listings with status, views, messages and offers. The actions are in the menu (…) next to each listing, and you can pause, reactivate, extend or delete several listings at once.
The tabs in My listings
| Tab | What you find |
|---|---|
| Active | Listings that are live and can be found by buyers. |
| Needs action | Listings pending review, rejected, paused, expired or expiring within 7 days. |
| Sold | Listings marked as sold or sold through a deal on Sitavo. |
| Drafts | Listings not yet published. |
| All | Everything together, with search and filters. |
Edit the listing
Tap Edit to open the editor with a preview. You publish the changes when you are ready — see Drafts and preview. In the settings you can also change visibility, deal format, documents for a deal, bidding round and SEO:
- Web address: the listing’s address (/annonce/…). If you change it, the old address redirects automatically.
- SEO title (up to 60 characters) and meta description (up to 160 characters) for Google, with a preview.
- Tags: up to 10 short words that help buyers find the listing.
- Show in search and categories: controls whether the listing appears in the marketplace search and categories.
Expiry and extension
- A listing is active for 90 days from publication. You get a reminder three days before it expires.
- Extend 30 days adds 30 days — counted from the expiry date or today, whichever is later. It is free.
- An expired listing becomes active again when you extend it. If it was edited in the meantime, it is sent for review first.
- When a listing expires, open offers are closed and the bidders are notified.
Pause and reactivate
A paused listing is hidden from buyers. Open offers are put on hold, and offers and messages are kept. Tap Reactivate when you are ready again. A listing cannot be paused during a deal, and a listing that Sitavo has paused cannot be reactivated by you — open a case via Help and cases if you disagree.
“New” badge and more visibility
New listings automatically get a “New” badge for the first 14 days. It does not affect the order. To move higher up, choose More visibility in the menu (…): the Visible listing package gives 14 days of featuring and Premium 30 days, and featuring on its own for 7, 14 or 30 days costs DKK 49, 85 or 149. See Listing packages and add-ons.
Mark as sold
- Sold to a buyer on Sitavo: choose the buyer, and a deal is created. The listing shows “In negotiation” until the deal is completed. See A deal with a buyer you found yourself.
- Sold elsewhere: open offers are closed and not reopened, and the bidders are notified. You can undo this within 72 hours with Undo «sold».
- If the deal is completed on Sitavo, the listing is marked as sold automatically once the buyer has confirmed the handover.
- The price is never public after a sale — neither the asking price nor the agreed price. Only you, the buyer and Sitavo can see it.
Anonymise the sale
A sold listing stays online so search engines can still find the page. If you do not want the sale to be linked to you or the business, choose Anonymise the sale in the menu (…), on the listing page or in your sales history. Only the industry, subcategory, region, listing type and “Sold” with month and year remain. Title, texts, images, documents, figures and seller are removed, and the page moves to a neutral address. You and the buyer can still see the deal and documents under Account. Anonymising cannot be undone. A discreet sale is anonymised automatically.
Duplicate and delete
Duplicate listing creates a copy with images and documents as a new draft — useful if you are selling several similar businesses. Delete listing removes the listing from the marketplace, closes open offers and notifies bidders and interested buyers. Conversations are kept in the inbox. This cannot be undone, and a listing with an ongoing deal cannot be deleted.
Pause, delete or mark as sold?
If you just need a break, pause the listing — you keep offers, statistics and followers. If the business is sold, mark it as sold rather than deleting it. That way bidders get the right message, and you can anonymise the sale afterwards.
Frequently asked questions

No. After a sale the price is never shown publicly. Only you, the buyer and Sitavo can see it.
The sold listing moves to a neutral address where only the industry, region, type and month of sale remain. Everything that could point to you or the business is removed. It cannot be undone.
Yes, if it was marked as sold elsewhere, you can undo it within 72 hours. If a deal was created on Sitavo, the listing follows the deal.
