Advisers on Sitavo: brokers, lawyers and accountants
Find a business broker, lawyer or accountant, give access with precise permissions, and see how the Adviser portal, Basic and Adviser Plus work.
4 min readUpdated
Many business sales and acquisitions go better with an adviser — a business broker who runs the sale, a lawyer who reviews the agreements, or an accountant who looks at figures and tax. On Sitavo, buyers and sellers can find an adviser and invite them in with exactly the access they want to give. And if you are an adviser yourself, your firm can help clients from the Adviser portal.
When does an adviser make sense?
- Business broker: when you want a professional to price the business, find buyers and lead the negotiation — typically for larger sales, or when you do not have the time yourself.
- Lawyer: for share deals, leases, employees, seller financing, earn-outs and warranties in the purchase agreement. See the purchase agreement.
- Accountant: for valuation, accounts, VAT and tax on selling a business — and for the buyer’s due diligence.
- No adviser: for small, simple deals — such as a domain or a small website — many people manage on their own with Sitavo’s agreements and checklists.
Find an adviser
- Go to Find an adviser and filter by profession, industry and region.
- Read the firm’s profile: areas of expertise, experience, fee model and reviews. The «Sitavo adviser» badge means Sitavo has checked identity and CVR — not the quality of the advice.
- Message the firm or invite it directly. If you ask Sitavo to find an adviser for you, your request is sent to no more than three firms whose profession, industry and region match.
- Agree the fee directly with the firm. Finding and contacting advisers is free, and Sitavo takes no commission.
If you want help with the entire sale, you can also be contacted by a business broker.
Give your adviser access — with precise permissions
Under My advisers you see the advisers helping you, what they may do, and everything they have done on your behalf. When an adviser requests access, you can choose Approve all, Choose myself or decline. You can limit access to selected listings and a period, and change or revoke it at any time.
| Area | Examples of permissions |
|---|---|
| Listings | Edit the listing (changes are saved as a draft you publish), publish changes, see statistics |
| Offers | See offers and amounts, prepare offers and replies — you approve and send with one click |
| Messages | Read messages, reply on your behalf (marked «on behalf of»), start new conversations |
| NDA | Handle NDA requests on your listings, prepare NDA requests when you are buying |
| Deals | Take part in deals, see agreement documents, prepare agreement documents |
Never — regardless of permissions
An adviser can never finally accept or reject an offer, sign or approve agreements, pay, change your account, login or security, or delete your listings. Everything the adviser does — including rejected attempts — is logged and shown to you.
If you want the firm to act faster, you can give a digital power of attorney for specific actions, such as making offers up to a ceiling or accepting NDAs, for selected listings and a limited period. Final acceptance of an offer, agreements and payment are never included.
The adviser in the deal
With the permission «Take part in deals», the adviser is added on your side of the deal room. With «Prepare agreement documents», the adviser can edit the fields in the agreements — you are notified, and the change appears in the timeline. The adviser’s email is shown to the other party only once the adviser has chosen to share their contact details. See the deal process.
Are you an adviser? Basic and Adviser Plus
Brokers, lawyers, accountants and other advisers with an active Danish CVR number can apply for a firm profile via Become an adviser. Sitavo checks the CVR number and each adviser’s link to the firm; lawyers and accountants also have their licence or registration checked. Approval normally takes a few working days.

- Launch discount: for a period, firms ordering Adviser Plus for the first time get 50% off the subscription for the first 12 months. The discount appears on the subscription page and the invoice.
- No commission: Sitavo never takes commission on deals and never charges per request or per client. You agree your fee directly with the client.
- Cancellation: the subscription can be cancelled at any time and runs until the end of the period. Moving to Basic deletes nothing — clients, tasks and logs are kept.
- Featured placement at the top for an industry or region can be bought separately and is always labelled «Ad».
The rules for working together are set out in the adviser terms.
