Create an account on Sitavo

You need an account to message sellers, save listings, make offers, sign NDAs and create listings. The account is free, and the same account is used for buying and selling businesses — online and offline. It takes a couple of minutes, and you can always add more details later.

How to create your account

1. Go to Create account.
2. Choose Private user or Company. If you choose company, enter the CVR number (8 digits) and company name. Type the name and pick the company from the lookup to fill in both fields.
3. Fill in your full name, email and country. A username is suggested from your name, and you can change it (3–20 characters: letters, numbers, full stop, hyphen and underscore). It is shown publicly on your profile.
4. Choose a password of at least 8 characters with at least one letter and one number. The meter shows how strong it is.
5. Accept the terms of service and the privacy policy. If you want news and relevant listings by email, tick the extra box — it is optional.
6. We send a 6-digit code to your email. The code is valid for 15 minutes. If you paste the whole code, it is submitted automatically.
7. Finally, choose what you want to do: I want to buy, I want to sell or Just looking. The choice orders the suggestions on your overview and can be changed at any time.

Private user or company?

Choose Company if you buy or sell through a company, such as a Danish ApS or a holding company. The company name and CVR number then appear on the account, and you can be verified as a company. If you are buying privately, or selling a sole proprietorship in your own name, Private user is the simplest.

Sign in with Google

If you continue with Google, we use your name and email from Google, and the email counts as confirmed, so you do not need a code. If a confirmed Sitavo account with the same email already exists, the login is linked to it. The step for account type and CVR is skipped, so if you want to trade as a company with a CVR number on the account, it is easiest to sign up with email. You can link or remove login providers under Security.

Didn’t get the code?

• Check your spam and promotions folders, and search for emails from Sitavo.
• Tap Send code again — you can do so after 30 seconds. The old code stops working.
• If you typed the wrong email, tap Back. The unconfirmed account is deleted, and you return to the form with your details filled in (except the password).
• If you use a work email, your company’s spam filter may hold the email back. Wait a few minutes, or use another address.

After signing up: five good first steps

1. Turn on two-step verification. We recommend it before you share documents or enter a deal.
2. Get verified for free. Some sellers only show details to verified buyers, and auction bids of DKK 500,000 or more require a verified identity.
3. Fill in your profile with a few lines about yourself and your background. Sellers tend to reply faster to buyers they can see.
4. Choose which emails and notifications you want.

Are you an adviser?
